Sam Simon was one of the people who created the famous TV show, The Simpsons. In the last years of his life, he focused on helping animals. After he found out he had cancer, he decided to use the money he had made to support a cause he truly cared about: animal welfare.

He started a foundation that provides free veterinary care to animals in need. This means that pets that might not have received medical attention can get help when they are sick or injured. Besides that, his foundation also rescues animals from shelters, giving them a chance to find loving homes. This work is very important because many animals face difficult situations and need support.

Sam also thought about the future of those who are differently-abled, so he helped train service dogs. These dogs assist people with disabilities, making their lives easier and more independent. Through his efforts, Sam Simon's legacy continues by improving the lives of animals and the people who need them. His love for animals shines through in the work that still goes on today.
