Not going to lie but when we looked at these photos we daydreamed about serving them from a little sunlit café with wooden tables and soft music playing…

But the truth is we’re still out of our trailer in a park with no fancy storefront. Just us, our little setup, and a whole lot of passion for what we make.

So when you see this vibrant green matcha bagel, filled with our, (erhm!)… 🍃Uji Matcha Nama chocolate cream cheese spread, and that matcha latte beside it… yes, that’s exactly what you’ll get. It tastes every bit as good as it looks.

Anyway, if this isn’t enough green for you, don’t forget we are at Sanctuary Lakes Park this weekend. No park in Darwin is grassier than this one. 7:30-1130am

Have this quiet obsession with making the perfect bagels. There’s always something you thought you could’ve tweaked to make them better and you’re rarely fully satisfied with the results.

Don’t wanna bore everyone with all the bagel subtleties but this morning’s batch was different. Usually we judge them by the plain ones. That golden colour, the blisters on the crust and the proper chew. These actually delivered.

Still chasing perfection but moments like this make the obsession worth it.

Make no mistake, the crew is as important as the recipe. Great wrap to the weekend and the perfect start to the season. To everyone who came out, thank you. It’s good to be back.

After waiting out the wet season, we’ve finally been able to get our gear out of hibernation and bring everything back to life. Between the crazy rain these past months, and that extra cheeky soaking in Palmerston the last few days, it’s been a mission but we’re buzzing to say we’re back this weekend.

Oh and made few little tweaks and improvements while we were down… can’t wait for you to see them!

Good thing we picked those mulberries before the cyclone rolled in. Our little boy dropping them into the bowl like a pro 🍇

Once we were safely tucked inside, we turned downtime into dough time. Even one new ingredient changes the ratios, the texture, the whole feel of a bagel, so experimenting is half the fun.

These little home batches are the ones that will help us bring new ideas for next season.

Now it’s time for cleanup, but not a bad way to ride out the cyclone. Hope your weekend went well ✌️

It’s funny how life comes full circle…

Ten years ago, we flew to America to “help out” at our uncle’s bagel shop, except we had absolutely no idea what bagels were. 😂

We honestly thought they were sweet like donuts, so you can imagine our faces when we took that first bite.

We weren’t exactly helpful either. We asked endless questions, got dough stuck everywhere, and made some truly questionable bagels. But our uncle was patient and took the time to show us the ropes and share a few of his secrets.

At the time, it was just a funny family memory. Looking back, maybe it was those early mornings, the smell of fresh bagels, and the pride in every batch that planted a seed.

Ten years later, that memory came back and we thought, what if we took a little of what we learned and brought it home?

What felt small back then ended up teaching us something 🤔

We’re bagel lovers through and through but the last few weekends we’ve been sweating it out, feeling a little too much like we’re the ones in the oven 🥵 With Darwin turning up the heat, it’s time to bow out before we become burnt bagels.

This Saturday we roll out our final batch for the season and don’t worry, you can grab a few to take home and save for later too 😉

Funny thing… we thought the poppy seed would be a crowd favourite.

Turns out, it’s been our slowest seller since day one.

Still, there’s something honest about a poppy bagel. It’s simple, earthy, a little nutty, with that light crunch and warm toasty aroma when it comes out of the oven. Those tiny seeds somehow end up everywhere, but we love them all the same.

Maybe it’s not the star of the show, but we reckon it’s one of the most underrated. ☀️🥯

When we first made these bagel chips, they were just a little weekend snack for family and friends, just something to share over coffee. But they never lasted long… one handful turned into two, and suddenly the bowl was empty 😅
