When ordering a cake, please make an informed decision about who you choose to make it.

I’m seeing more home bakers popping up who appear to be operating without the appropriate council registration or approval. This can mean kitchens have not been inspected and important food-safety requirements may not be followed.

Food safety is incredibly important. Something as simple as placing the wrong fresh flowers directly onto a cake can potentially introduce toxic or unsafe materials to food.

There are some fantastic registered and experienced cake makers SOR, with plenty of talented businesses to choose from.

Before ordering, don’t be afraid to ask your cake maker whether their business and kitchen are registered and approved with their local council.

Be informed. Ask questions. Choose wisely. 🎂
