Cakes by Grace Cakes by Grace is a small home run business in which I, Natalie Grace, bake and decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other dainty delights.

I love making dreams a reality, so contact me via message or email for your next event. I have been decorating cakes for many years now, however I have been picking up more business over the last few years through friends and family spreading the word of my home made baked goods. I went deaf in 2010, which was a learning curve, but received a cochlear implant about a year later. It is for this reason that I prefer to be contacted via email, text or a face to face appointment. Happy October fellow Cake Lovers! October is Spooky month as well as the month of my son's birthday. I'm always asked what cakes I make for the family and, as my son is constantly eating cake, he usually opts for something different for his birthday (like an ice cream, donut or cookie cake). However this year, when I asked what kind of cake he'd like, he said "Caramel"..... which is extremely helpful and 100% more words than I usually get. In comparison I usually get a 2 part essay, from my daughter, detailing what she would like and about 4 dozen inspo photos (also helpful). My son is old school and tends to prefer simple, clean lines and quality so this is his Caramel mud cake with a whipped caramel truffle filling, caramel ganache and a salted caramel drip.

Sitting in my kitchen doing some piping on a very special wedding cake for tomorrow and reflecting on how blessed I am to get to do this.

We added some extra ingredients for this one...... longevity for a long and wonderful marriage; patience for those days when you're tired; health and wealth for all their days; unsurpassed joy; laughter for every day of the week; and never ending love that is pure and kind.

I like to go the extra mile and, yes, I love love!!!!!

First delivery of the day is now complete. I take transportation of your orders seriously. Orders are packed in sturdy boxes and then they're treated like the Princess from Princess and the Pea, and sat on many layers. First there's a foam wedge to absorb impact and keep your cakes level (car seats dip at the back), then we have a cotton mat to absorb more impact, then we have an anti slip mat to ensure the box is staying put and, finally, like any precious cargo, they're seatbelted in. This ensures everything arrives in the same condition that it left the kitchen in. Happy Saturday Cake Lovers!

Some close up stills of my pretty girls from late last week. Gluten free is rising in popularity and if you want a cake that looks and tastes like a regular sponge but is gluten free then I'm your lady. This recipe has been tweaked over the years and I'm finally thrilled with it! LOL!
