🌹 A LITTLE ROSE MAGIC IN OUR HONEY JAR! 🍯🐝

Last Saturday, fresh rose petals arrived all the way from Toowoomba! ❤️

By now, many of you know how much I love using fresh ingredients to create our infused honey. I believe the beauty of homemade products lies in the quality of the ingredients and the care we put into making them.

We don't have a rose garden of our own, and I'm very particular about where I source my roses. I don't feel comfortable using shop bought roses or dried rose petals bought online when I cannot be sure of their growing and treatment history.

Thankfully, our lovely neighbours' son lives in Toowoomba, where his family has a beautiful rose garden. Every year, whenever they visit, I request a little favour: if possible, could they please bring me some fresh rose petals? 🌹

And once again, they kindly did!
A heartfelt thank you to our neighbours and their family for sharing their beautiful, chemical-free rose petals with us and helping make our special creations possible. ❤️

With these beautiful, carefully sourced rose petals, I've made a very small batch of rose-infused honey. The flavour is delicate, gentle and subtle, with a beautiful touch of rose.

🌹 Will it be ready for Christmas? 🎄🍯

Honestly, I'm not sure yet! Rose petals take time to infuse beautifully into honey, and I don't want to rush the process. I believe good things are worth waiting for, and I want to give this delicate rose-infused honey the time it deserves.

So, let's wait and see! 🤞❤️ If it's ready in time for Christmas, it might become another special little treasure for your festive season. But one thing is certain — I won't rush nature just to meet a deadline! 🌹🐝

I made only a very small batch to begin with, and there are not many jars left! Don't worry, I will be making more very soon.

Behind every jar of honey, there is so much more than what meets the eye. Because of Varroa, beekeepers are now facing an enormous amount of extra work and pressure. Keeping our bees alive and healthy has become incredibly time-consuming and challenging. Every beekeeper understands just how much time, care and effort it takes.

On top of that, electricity bills are rising, fuel costs are increasing, and the cost of living keeps going up. We are running a small business, but we are also feeling the same financial pressures as everyone else.

Yet, despite all these challenges, we are choosing to keep going. We still have hope, passion and faith in what we do. Most importantly, we have faith in the wonderful customers who continue to support our little business. ❤️

That's why, for now, we’ve decided not to increase our prices to cover card payment fees. Instead, we’re choosing to absorb those costs ourselves.

We know how convenient it is to tap your card or phone, and we’re always happy to accept card payments. But if you’re able to pay with cash, it would mean a little more to our small business than you might realise. 🥰

For a small business, every single cent counts. What may seem like a small percentage on one transaction can add up over a busy market day - and those little costs really do make a difference to us.

So, if you have cash with you and you're happy to use it, choosing cash helps us keep a little more of what you spend with us. ❤️

But please don't feel uncomfortable if you don't have cash - we are still very happy to accept your card, please keep tapping! Your support means the most to us, whichever way you choose to pay.
