Dear Lishers,
I just want to start with a very heartfelt thank you. 🫶🏻
Thank you for all the kind messages, encouragement and care you have shown me during this difficult time, and especially for all the love and support you have given our girls while I’ve been away.
They have truly been amazing, and knowing that they have also been surrounded by your kindness has meant more to me than I can say.
At a time that has felt very heavy, your warmth has reminded me just how lucky I am to have such a beautiful little community around us.
From 1 October, the rules around card payment surcharges will change.
For a small business, every little cost really does matter. But for now, we don’t want to simply add that extra cost onto our menu prices.
So while we can, we’re going to keep our current prices as they are and keep trying our very best to hold on to every little cent we can.
It may only be a small thing, but to us, this is one little way of giving some of that kindness back to the people who have shown us so much.
We know things are expensive for everyone at the moment, and while we can, we want CAKE A LISH to stay fair, warm and welcoming 💖 just as you have always made us feel.
Cash is still king 👑
If paying by cash is convenient for you, it really is one of the simplest ways to directly support a small local business. Of course, card payments are always welcome too.
Local businesses and local communities really do need each other.
Every time you walk through our door, you are supporting us more than you probably realise, and we will keep doing our very best to give that love back in the little ways we can.
