An important (but exciting) little Valley update 🤎
When we opened our doors just a few short weeks ago, we truly had no idea what was about to happen.
The way you have shown up for this little bakery has been beyond anything we could have imagined. The early morning lines, the kind words, the familiar faces returning each weekend - we are incredibly grateful.
But the truth is, Little Valley has grown beyond our production capacity almost overnight.
Despite prepping and baking around the clock, we simply can’t produce enough in our little space to meet the incredible demand, and selling out so early each day isn’t the experience we want for you - nor is working day and night a sustainable way for our little family-run bakery to continue.
So, we’ve made the decision to close Little Valley for the next three weekends while we make some big changes behind the scenes.
We’ll be expanding our production space, upgrading our equipment and putting together a small team of local hands to help us make more of the things you’ve been asking for.
Little Valley will always be a small, family-owned bakery at heart. Growing doesn’t mean we want to become bigger for the sake of being bigger - it simply means building a sustainable little business that can support our family, create opportunities for local people and, most importantly, keep baking for this beautiful community for many years to come.
This isn’t a step backwards. It’s simply us taking a few short weeks to grow into something we never expected to need quite so soon.
Thank you for giving this little bakery such an extraordinary beginning. We’ll see you very soon.
Baba and Didas will remain open and trading as usual during this time - it’s only Little Valley taking a short pause while we complete our upgrades.
