Kifli I started baking before I was even brave enough to turn on my parents old oven back in Hungary. This is where my story begins….

When my life bought me to Australia, I was left with a void and a deep longing for Hungarian cakes, desserts and flavors.

Our menu for this Friday 🎉

Dear Kifli Followers 🌺

Checkout our menu for this Friday evening!! There will be a few old favourites and a few new treats.

We will be introducing the Braided Kali which will be available in plain or with cranberries inside and almond flakes ontop❤️. Perfect for an evening treat after dinner or breakfast sorted for Saturday.

Our Cheese Pogi will take a break and will be replaced with Cheese Sticks 🧀🥖. The perfect finger food to pass the time while you may be waiting for a pizza order or while you chat and find out about the Blackwood Commons.

Savouries not your thing then get a Raspberry Swirl 🍥🌺. It’s tart, yet sweet in a beautiful pastry.

Or grab a Linz-Isch box. A combo box with both Linzers 🍑 and Ischlers 🌺. A great host gift, perfect to go with your tea or just to devourer because they are that good!!

Hi Bridgetown Community/Kifli Followers 🌺

I’d like to introduce you to Hungarian braided sweet bread AKA “Fonott Kalács”. As both are a bit of a mouthful from this point on I will refer to them as Braided Kali. I have posted about these in the past on the Kifli facebook but thought we’d expand the audience given we will be selling a limited amount this Friday evening (16th of October - 4:30pm to 7:30pm) at the Ashbil Community Garden for the Blackwood Commons Chat.

These beautiful looking breads are soft, silky smooth and just melt in your mouth. They are fantastic for breakfast, paired with your favourite jam and a mug of tea or coffee.

So If you don’t want to miss out on the Braided Kali shoot us a PM for us to put one aside for you.

Welcome at Kifli. ❤️

A little introduction about this page and the face behind the posts. 🙂

🇭🇺 I grew up in Hungary enjoying the delicious and so special Hungarian cakes and pastries. I always loved baking but it was so easy to walk to the nearest bakery and get some of my favourite pastries like mákos-patkó (puff-pastries with lots of poppy seed filling 🤤 or my absolute favorite fonott kalács (braided sweet bread with silky apricot jams 😍).

🇦🇺 When my loving husband stole my heart and I made a big decision to leave my family, friends and my precious little country behind and moved to Australia. I was left with a void and deep longing for Hungarian cakes, desserts and flavours. So I’ve decided to try to make all of my favorites.

👩🏼‍🍳Baking makes my heart happy, gives me joy and happiness.

👧🏼👶🏼 Also I’m a mother of two. ❤️❤️ Raising them to be proud of them roots and knowing their heritage is so important for me. Listening to them while they sing, speak in Hungarian just makes me feel so proud and grateful.

❤️ Also a wife for my supportive and loving husband who believes in me and supports all of my crazy dreams in life.

💪🏼My hobby is enjoying a tough workout which turns my brain off and charges my soul. ❤️❤️
