Of things going bad in the kitchen[sigh] we normally post our perfect cakes and we never post when we miss it. Well I promised myself I will do the post. I was reminded of the mess I made doing tonight cake. That week I had done a barbie doll and Elsa cake(amazing). The 3rd was simple because I have done it before unfortunately it was writing and drawing with black on white icing... mistake 1 was waiting to do the drawings in the morning I was not trusting what staying overnight in fridge will do to it. Unfortunately the person collecting came when I had started working on drawings. Earlier than I expected and obviously I made a mess I had no time to correct. I had to hand over the cake with my tail in between my legs and apology for the messy art. The customer was gracious i could have trended on name and shame. I had to do another cake to compensate even though they had said it's okay. Grateful for grace extended to me. We don't always get it right. I learnt my lessons. This was the apology cake now 🫣
