As you all know, I have closed my baking business and now only bake for family and friends.

So this was a real labor of love for my step-dad who turns an incredible 90 years old!

I delicious carrot cake with luxurious toppings to celebrate this milestone.

Hello darlings 👋
I realize I haven't posted for many months.

I uninstalled IG and FB at the end of 2023. I needed a real break from social media so I could truly have down time in my single week of holiday. It worked so well that I decided not to reinstall in the new year!

So much has changed for me since last year. I started a new full-time job in a totally different industry, and so I decided that in order to focus on that, I would need to stop baking.

For now, I'm only baking for my family and the occasional wedding, hence this post!

Our gorgeous niece got married this past weekend, and I was honored to be asked to bake her wedding cake. Family ➕️ wedding 🟰 gorgeous cake!

All the decorations are in buttercream, the three tier vanilla cake was filled with caramel, and the icing complimented the colour scheme.

I absolutely love how this cake turned out! The colors pop so well together, it's whimsical and impressionist and vibrant.

I'm moving away from using fondant on my cakes so apart from the little blossoms, all the decor is done with icing, sweets, biscuits, marshmallows, and pretzels! 🥨🍬🍪
