🎄🌺 Beginners Christmas Cupcake Bouquet workshops: Hout Bay, Cape Town - 5th & 12th December 🌺🎄

Join me this December for a complete start-to-finish cupcake decorating and bouquet construction workshop, where I will guide you step-by-step as you create your own Christmas cupcake bouquet, including a Poinsetta, rosette adorned with holly berries and a pine cone/rose combo, as in the picture below.

Cost: R1200 per person, which includes everything you will need on the day, info pack including recipes and pdf bouquet construction guide as well as your own decorated 7-cupcake bouquet.

Such a thrill to meet Leon Kluge and Tristan Woudberg again today (3rd year running!) at Stanford in Bloom - the talents behind the installation of the incredible and visually intoxicating exhibit "Life After Fire", made up of approximately 29000 stems of fynbos, which won double gold for South Africa at this years RHS - Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show.

A little piece of South Africa in buttercream! Today, 24 September, we celebrate Heritage Day and, what better flower that the Protea, our national flower, which symbolises the beauty of our natural Heritage.

For me, creating buttercream Protea, is more than decorating cupcakes: it is about taking something uniquely South African - our incredible fynbos, our Protea and our natural heritage - and turning it into something that can be shared, gifted and enjoyed.

Loved doing this set or 36 wildflower cupcakes for an engagement party today at The Alphen Boutique Hotel & Spa. The brief included a photo of the table flowers, as well as the colour palette. On delivery to the venue, I was blown away by the wildflower displays by Mandy from BellaLuca Experiences and really happy that the cupcakes matched perfectly! Congratulations to Ashleigh & Connor! 🎉

Client Gifting Campaign for Women's Month! 🧁🧡💙

Thrilled to be asked to be part of this client gifting campaign for Primedia Broadcasting and CapeTalk, with a total of 180 hand-piped floral cupcakes(thankfully, not all on the same day!) in bespoke boxes of 3, in matching corporate colours.

An additional thrill of being at the Primedia studios, was to meet the Kfm 94.5 breakfast team in studio. Huge fan and they have kept me smiling for many years on the school runs!

PROTEA CUPCAKES - 3 BOUQUET OPTIONS

For those that have been following me for a while, you will know that I have developed several varieties of buttercream Protea over the last 5yrs, which started in September 2020 with the first prototype King Protea - what started with one, has now become 5, all of which I used in my Signature "Protea & Fynbos" cupcake bouquet, available in 3 sizes (as seen in the following pics).

These designs are a very popular choice, given the South African connection to the Protea, though are also the most time consuming to do, so I would encourage you to book well in advance if this is your choice for a special occasion/birthday.
