I do believe I may owe an apology to many of you for, want of a better description, disappearing. The past couple of years have truly not been a very easy time and there has been lots of personal changes in our lives. It had definitely taken my attention away from getting in to the kitchen and baking and I was really struggling to find the motivation to roll my sleeves up, put my apron on and get back to it.
After a pretty challenging journey and a lot of realisations and reflecting, I feel in a healthy and happy space. Alongside that I have finally got my passion back for putting smiles back on people's faces and I am excited to get back in to the kitchen.
Please find my cake lists attached and think of me when you need a birthday cake, wedding cake or an "any day of the week cake."
Delivery is available for free in and around Stellenbosch and a small delivery fee may be added to further afield.

Hi everybody,

So the time has come, and our journey on this path has come to an end. We will be closing The Blue Crane and the Butterfly today, the 21st September for the final time in its current form.
It is a decision taken for many reasons, some business based and some based in my personal life, however the timing is right to say goodbye to Stellenbosch.
I want to say thank you to every single one of you who has popped in for a coffee or a slice of cake. I want to say that the last 11 years would not have been the same without you. To all of our staff I say a big thank you, and of course a huge thank you to Chrisna who has been there through thick and thin, good times and bad and has been a huge part of everything that The Blue Crane and Butterfly has accomplished. So for now hopefully it is a “see you later” not a “goodbye.” Plans are in motion for the future but for now a well needed break is required.
