There are times when I go into a little tizz and panic my way through an order, but not this time.

I had a smile on my face baking this cake from the moment I started mixing my ingredients up to this very moment. The client behind this cake has a lot to do with that, she has been an absolute sweetheart from the time we first spoke when she admired a cake I'd baked for someone else.

This particular cake is for her daughter's 16th birthday and this mom has been so sweet in making her requirements known and her reaction to the actual cake is beyond humbling.

Sometimes I bake and stress my way through the process but not with this particular cake.

I had a smile on my face from the moment I started mixing my ingredients until I took these photos. Simply because my client has been such a sweetheart.

This cake is for her daughter's 16th birthday, and this mom has been so amazing in her plans for her beautiful princess, I couldn't help but feel honoured that she entrusted me to bake her daughter's cake.
