In 2024 we collected 60+ cans…then in 2025 we managed to collect 200+ cans. This year we would like to reach 400+!!!!

We are collecting at all three of our locations for the whole month of September. It’s an amazing cause and will help the Helderberg Animal Shelter immensely.

Why do they need canned food: Canned food is easier for puppies, kittens and seniors to eat, helps with hydration, tempts stressed or sick animals to eat and makes giving medication much easier.

A huge thank you to Food&Home for another beautiful celebration, for bringing together so many incredible South African food brands and for recognising the things we pour so much love, time and a little weirdness into.

Turns out there’s room for more than one seriously good cookie in the Cape. 😉

Our Argentine classic, made darker, richer and very much our own.

🥈 SILVER AWARD: Crunchie Lunitas
This one makes u happy. A product we created simply to give our day-old medialunas a delicious second life… and now it’s an award winner. Come on!!!

Thank you Food&Home for hosting us, for the awards and for one hell of a celebration.

We’ll proudly add these three to the Weirdough collection. That’s 8 total awards over two year!!! We couldn’t be prouder ❤️🥹

Weekend specials have entered the chat!

This weekend we’ve got a little sweet, a little spicy and a lot of reasons to come hungry.

🍫 Torta Brownie
Back from last weekend because she clearly wasn’t finished with us. Chocolate brownie, Dulce de Leche and orange-infused meringue.

🤍 NEW Torta Blondie
Chocolate blondie with almonds, Dulce de Leche, raspberry jelly and lemon-infused meringue. A lot going on. All of it necessary.

🇦🇷 Mini Pastafrola
A little version of the Argentine classic, filled with traditional quince paste.

🌶️ Jala At Me
Our new jalapeño popper-inspired medialuna. Spicy, cheesy and absolutely not here to behave.

Available at all three Weirdough locations this weekend.

Limited quantities, so come early if you’ve already mentally claimed yours.

THE WEIRDOUGH-NATION FOOD DRIVE IS BACK!!

This Heritage Month, we’re celebrating something proudly South African: the way our communities show up for one another.

From 1 September, bring an unopened can or bag of dog or cat food to any Weirdough location and we’ll thank you with a FREE traditional medialuna.

🥫 1 can or bag of pet food = 1 traditional medialuna
🐾 All donations go to Animal Welfare Society Helderberg
🥐 Exchanges are limited to 12 free medialunas per person, per day, to help us manage our daily stock
💛 Available while daily medialuna stocks last

This is our third year filling bowls together and we’re calling on our Weirdough Nation to do what it does best: show up, give generously and help fill some very important bowls.

🍓 Tarta de Frutilla (only available at Lions Square)
Fresh strawberries, creme patissiere and all the nostalgic Argentine bakery goodness.

🤎 Tarta Havanette
Chocolate, our award-winning Dulce de Leche and a little sea salt. Still obsessed.

🍫 Torta Brownie
Rich brownie, Dulce de Leche and that glorious orange-infused meringue.

🥐🍪 NEW Almond Medialuna Cookie
Our newest Weirdough creation. Almond cookie loaded with crunchy pieces of medialuna because apparently putting medialunas inside cookies is where we are in life now.

Available this weekend until sold out.

Weekend plans? We’ve made them edible.

This weekend we’ve got some very special friends joining the Weirdough menu, plus a few new and returning medialuna situations.

First up, Blondie. has been working some magic with our award-winning Dulce de Leche (Food&Home award-winning, btw) to bring you two proper Argentine desserts:

- Torta Brownie with rich chocolate brownie, Dulce de Leche and orange-infused meringue.
- Tarta Havanette, one of our all-time favourites, finished with a tiny pinch of sea salt. Simple. Dangerous.

Then, for the first time, we’re welcoming MariMisu, bringing us authentic, traditional Tiramisù, made the proper Italian way. 🇮🇹

And because apparently that wasn’t enough, the medialuna line-up is also showing off:

- B(larga)LT with smoked bacon, lettuce & tomato.
- Fiesta, inspired by the iconic dot cake with hundreds & thousands and buttercream frosting. Childhood birthday party, but make it medialuna.
- Chicken Mayo with pickled red onion. Fresh, tangy and ridiculously good.

A little Argentina. A little Italy. A little bit weird.
