We’re bringing together two of our favourite things for a one-night-only pairing dinner at Spoon.

Join us on Friday, 11 September as we serve five courses, each paired with a wine selected together with Ex Animo Wine Co. — from miso aubergine and pork belly to Korean fried chicken, duck and something sweet to finish.

This isn’t your usual wine tasting. Expect bold flavours, interesting bottles and a seriously good night around the table.

We’re heading back to our roots and returning to daytime-only trading — which means more focus, more energy and plenty of exciting things coming to our breakfast, lunch and bakery offering.

But don’t worry… we’re not saying goodbye to evenings completely 👀

Instead, we’ll be bringing you a series of special event evenings filled with good food, great wine, cocktails and a few surprises along the way.

An evening of bao, wine pairings and very good reasons to stay out a little later.

Think of it as fewer ordinary evenings, and more evenings worth making plans for.

We’re looking for an experienced Baker/ Pastry Chef to join the team at Spoon Bakery & Eatery.
This is a fast-paced, high-performance kitchen where quality, consistency and teamwork come first. We’re looking for someone who leads by example, thrives under pressure and takes pride in producing exceptional baked products.

Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years kitchen experience
* Excellent organisation and cleanliness
* Based in the Helderberg area (preferred)
