I always hear bakers say:

“I can’t charge that much in my area.”
“People here won’t buy.”
“Bakers here are too cheap.”

But at what point do we stop normalizing businesses making little to no profit just to keep customers happy? 🤔

Yes, different areas have different spending power I understand that. But does that mean a baker must work long hours, buy expensive ingredients, pay transport/electricity/data, sacrifice sleep… and still be expected to undercharge?

A business is supposed to make profit, not just keep you busy 🤞🏽

Maybe the answer is not always “charge less.” Maybe sometimes you need to :
1.improve branding target
2.Target different customers
3.change products
4. market better
5. or stop competing in a race to the cheapest price

Being fully booked but constantly broke is exhausting.
