Some designs are easier to recreate than others, but even so, never request an exact replica of a design. That’s simply unrealistic, as no two handmade cakes will ever be 100% identical.

Reference pictures are meant to provide inspiration, not to guarantee an identical copy.

Be inspired by the picture, but allow the baker the freedom to create their own version of it. Handmade means every creation is uniquely its own.

I made chocolate instead of vanilla!

Thinking about that time I mixed up the flavours 😞… but the customer showed me grace. 🌺

As bakers, we try our best to get every detail right, but sometimes we get it wrong. It could be the colour combination, the flavour, or simply a little detail that slips through the cracks.

Behind every cake is a baker who cares deeply about getting it right. As much as we strive to deliver perfection, mishaps sometimes happen. We are human, after all.

To customers who show us grace when things don’t go exactly as planned — thank you.

(Safe to say that after that mishap, a new love for chocolate cake was born) 😄
