Melting Moments Biscuits was started in the late 1990's by a mother, Glynis Smith, as a means to make extra income for her family. The recipe came to her through a dear friend's wife, in what can only be described as a serendipitous moment. Glynis accepted the recipe from her friend and made this delicious shortbread biscuit for her family and later her colleagues at the Daily Dispatch. Within wee
ks, friends were requesting more of these shortbread delights and this sparked the idea for a home-based biscuit bakery. Over the years, Melting Moments Biscuits has specialized in four more types of biscuit, over and above the signature shortbread biscuit - ginger biscuits, crunchies, romany creams and choc-chip. Through the help of amazing friends and the grace of God, the business has grown into what it is today - a favorite in East London households and a few coffee shops. Glynis and James are still, however, eternally grateful to every person who has helped them along the way and will never forget their humble beginnings.
