Pastry Angel is a home based bakery in Northgate. We supply custom cakes and cupcakes, pastries, party packs and supply catering for events in the Gauteng area. We are not a shop, so visiting is by appointment only.

A smallish friend and family size cake to celebrate a 35th birthday. 🎈 When I made my tasting cakes last year, I genuinely didn’t know how well The Bruce would be received. I’ve made so many of them lately and the reviews are amazing. A delicious layered chocolate sponge cake filled with ganache, brushed with espresso or cinnamon syrup. It’s rich, moist and heavenly! My new favourite is definitely my matcha, strawberry, rose and white chocolate but the Bruce has over taken that in popularity! Have you tried The Bruce chocolate cake yet?

The current cost of ingredients, electricity and petrol means I need to change things up a bit. I have been experimenting with smaller two tier cakes. This is one of a few that went out last weekend. It was a vanilla sponge filled with white chocolate mousse and raspberry pie filling, white chocolate hybrid buttercream on the outside. It’s a cutie! 🥰
