Cinnabon Style Buns
Batter ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
4 tsp Baking powder
2 eggs
1,5 cups Any type of milk you prefer (I used almond but you can use dairy)
2 tsp vanilla essence
Half cup butter - melted
Cinnamon Filling
1 cup soft Butter
1 cup sugar - preferably brown
2 tsp Flour
1 tsp ground Cinnamon
Glaze (I didn’t add this but you can)…,
2 cups icing sugar
At least 5 tablespoons of any type milk
1 tsp Vanilla
Method;
Mix batter ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, eggs & vanilla until well combine with no lumps. Then gently add melted butter.
Next, stir the filling ingredients together: butter, brown sugar, flour & cinnamon into a soft paste. Then mix it into the batter.
Bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Finally, mix icing sugar, milk and vanilla, pour over the warm buns. Let soak. I skipped this step as my kids don’t like glaze.
