Meanwhile, we’ve been busy calculating something far more important:

And because we like to take our maths seriously, this one comes complete with equations, numbers, graphs.

Summer has arrived at with HÄRT… apparently the weather didn’t get the memo tho. 😂🌧️

We chose this week — cold, rainy and very much giving winter — to launch our brand new Summer Tarts. Excellent timing, really. 😅

But just look at them. 🥹

A sweet pastry tart shell, filled with silky custard and topped with fresh, juicy fruit. 🍓🥝🫐

Light, fresh, colourful, and just the thing for when the sun eventually decides to show up. ☀️

Our summer tarts are now in the bakery — rain or shine. 💛

HERTZOGGIES 🇿🇦

Did you know these little coconut-and-apricot treats have a bit of South African history baked into them?

Hertzoggies are named after J.B.M. Hertzog, who served as Prime Minister of South Africa from 1924 to 1939. The story goes that supporters of Hertzog helped popularise these little pastries, traditionally made with a pastry base, apricot jam, and a sweet coconut topping.

They became a beloved South African teatime classic — and somewhere along the way, the politics disappeared, and the Hertzoggie stayed. 😂🇿🇦

Today, they’re less about politics and more about nostalgia, family recipes, and that very particular taste of South African baking.

So, for Heritage Day, we couldn't leave them off the table. 🤎

A muffin, but make it..a LOT of muffin. 🍋

Our giant lemon poppy seed muffins are soft, zesty little beauties with just the right amount of lemony sass.

Big enough to count as lunch.
Cute enough to count as breakfast.
Delicious enough to make sharing feel completely unnecessary. 😌
