When you are missing your mom so much that you try to do things the way she did.
A cold, wet Jhb day brought about the need to experiment because there’s no better place to be than in front of the oven.
Throughout my years of baking, decorating and creating, no matter what The Cupcake Fairy brought out, I’ve been asked “can you make Aunty Pat’s biscuits” and the answer was simply… “nope I got nothing on my Mom when it comes to those biscuits” but today after 18 years of baking on my own and well my entire life in Pat’s kitchen, I decided to give it a try….
Sure they are not as pretty as yours Mama, but I tried to kick it old school and do like you do.
