👷‍♀️🦷👩‍🍳👩‍🏫 Little Explorers – Occupations! 👩‍🏫👩‍🍳👷‍♀️

Last week our Little Explorers explored the wonderful world of Occupations! 🌟 We learned about four different jobs through fun, imaginative and hands-on sensory play.

👷 TRAY 1 – CONSTRUCTION WORKER 🏗️
Our little builders got to explore a tray filled with different dried sensory materials, construction vehicles, buckets, scoops and construction tools. 🚜🔨 They could dig, scoop, move and build just like real construction workers!

🦷 TRAY 2 – DENTIST 😁
Our dental tray was filled with sensory grains, pretend teeth, toothbrushes and little cups. 🪥🦷 The children could practise brushing the teeth while learning about what a dentist does.

👩‍🍳 TRAY 3 – CHEF 🍳
Our little chefs had a kitchen-inspired sensory tray with shredded sensory material, bowls, cups, spoons and kitchen utensils. 🥣🥄 They could scoop, mix and pretend to prepare their own delicious creations!

👩‍🏫 TRAY 4 – TEACHER 📚
For our final tray, our little teachers got to explore with playdough, rolling pins and colourful cutters and learning pieces. ✏️🌈 They could create, practise and use their imaginations as they played the role of a teacher.

What a fun way to learn that every job is important and that there are so many wonderful things we can be when we grow up! 💕✨

Our Little Explorers were busy scooping, brushing, mixing, creating, pretending and learning all while developing their fine motor skills, imagination, creativity, communication and confidence. 🌈👐

Well done, Little Explorers! 👏🥰 You all worked so hard this week!

🥕🥒🍅 Little Explorers – Creating Funny Faces! 🍅🥒🥕

This week our Little Explorers had so much fun getting creative with food! 🌈✨

The children were given faces on the table and their challenge was to use different vegetables to create their very own funny faces! 😄

We used carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, and coleslaw to add eyes, noses, mouths, hair and all sorts of creative details. 👀👃👄

It was wonderful to see their little imaginations come to life as they explored different textures, colours, shapes and tastes while creating their masterpieces. 🥰

Who knew vegetables could be so much fun? 🥕🎨

Well done, Little Explorers! You were all so creative! 💕

🍓👩‍🍳 Little Bakers – Strawberry Cheesecake Cups! 🍰✨

This week our Little Bakers made the most delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Cups! 🍓💕

But it wasn’t just about making something yummy — our little bakers were also learning important kitchen skills along the way!

🔪🍓 We focused on how to safely cut fruit, giving the children the opportunity to practise their cutting skills, coordination and confidence in the kitchen.

From preparing their strawberries to layering all the delicious cheesecake goodness, each little baker got to be involved in creating their own sweet treat. 🥰

It was wonderful watching them work independently, learn new skills and, of course, enjoy the best part… eating their creations! 😋🍓

Another fun and delicious week in the kitchen with our Little Bakers! 👩‍🍳❤️

🌿🐍 Little Explorers – Reptile Week! 🦎🐢

This week our Little Explorers went on a wild reptile adventure! 🐍💚

We explored the fascinating world of reptiles through a fun and messy sensory experience, giving our little explorers the chance to touch, scoop, squish, mix and discover! ✨

Our sensory trays included:

🦎 Chia Seed Slime – squishy, slippery and oh-so-much fun!
🐍 Homemade Pasta – perfect for scooping, grabbing and exploring different textures.
🐢 Jelly Sensory Play – wobbly, jiggly and a wonderful sensory experience!

With our colourful reptiles, leaves and nature-inspired setup, the children could create their own little reptile world while developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory awareness and imaginative play. 🌿💚

There were plenty of little hands getting messy, curious minds exploring and lots of smiles along the way! 😍

What a wild and wonderful week at Little Explorers! 🐍🦎🐢💚
