Welcome to my page. My name is Brenda Pieterse and I am resident in Drummond Kwazulu Natal South Africa. Making family and friends' occasions special with a personalised cake has been my passion for many years. I have now decided to go public. This is a home based business and offers homemade bakes with flair. I do not use cake mixes, all cakes are made from scratch with quality fresh ingredients. I make to order, so you are guaranteed freshness and very personalised attention. Since all of my work is custom made I quote per order. Celebrating 35 wonderful years of marriage deserved a very special cake, and what better way to mark the journey than with a little travel-inspired elegance!

This bespoke anniversary cake was designed as a stack of vintage suitcases, each one handcrafted in fondant with intricate luggage details, including realistic handles, buckles, straps, stitching and gold hardware.

Topping the suitcases is a beautiful little handbag-style case, finished with a delicate bouquet of handcrafted sugar-paste roses in soft blush pink, ivory and mint green, with cascading greenery adding a romantic touch.

A cake symbolising 35 years of memories, journeys and adventures together, with hopefully many more destinations still to come! ❤️

These handcrafted white sugar paste flowers were created by Occasional Cakes for a special DIY wedding cake in Polokwane. 🌸

From the large statement blooms to the tiny delicate blossoms, each flower was individually made and finished with beautiful pearl centres, ready for the bride and her cake team to bring the final wedding cake design to life.

Yesterday was my brother's birthday, a big one. The big 60. The thing when you are a baker, family cakes do not always get the attention they deserve, well not this time !! Richard loves rich fruit cake and I was going for an elegant clean look. I covered his love for racing and rugby while keeping it elegant and classy, you know, sometimes less is more.
