Belmont Gardens is a God inspired project (Jer 29:5) with the purpose of growing fresh vegetables to advance the interests of the community by:

1) sustaining the gardens
2) providing more affordable vegetables to the public
3) providing free vegetables to local charities

° How thick the eggshell is will depend on the age of the laying hen 🐣
° Eggs are one of the few dietary sources of Vitamin D 🌞
° Harriet the Hen from the UK laid the world's largest egg in 2010. It measured in at a hefty 23.1 cm in diameter!! 🥚😱
° The colour of a chicken's earlobe can often determine what colour the eggs will be. 🐔

Some fun nutritional facts about eggs:
One egg has only 75 calories, but 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals and carotenoids. Eggs are a powerhouse of disease-fighting nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin.

PS: They are so caring and "wake up" in what they do, they noticed the pumpkins coming up in between the grass (in the picture) and left the plants to produce fruit.

Have you been scratching your head for new and refreshing ways of incorporating our amazing purple figs in dishes? 🤔
How does a Fresh Fig and Avocado Grilled Cheese sound? 🤤😎
You will need the following:
2 slices sourdough bread
1-2 fresh figs, sliced
1/2 large avocado peeled pitted and sliced
1/4 cup fresh baby spinach leaves
Favorite cheese
1 tablespoon butter

Instructions:
1. Assemble the sandwich with avo slices, figs and spinach on the bottom slice of bread. Cover with cheese and then the top slice of bread.
2. Meanwhile, melt butter over medium heat in a pan. Place the sandwich into the butter and cover the pan. Cook until bottom piece of bread is toasted and then flip. Cook until cheese has melted and other piece of bread is toasty.

Cut in half and enjoy!! Send us some pics when you try this. 😁
