How lucky am I to have something that sparks so much joy, every time?
Even though I didn’t post in a while, I’ve been as busy as ever! From baking at 2am at my mom’s house because of an oven crisis to baking at an airbnb on holiday. It was hectic to say the least! 😂

I have a love-hate relationship with the colour purple. Always have. I have no purple in my house or in my wardrobe - it’s just never the right shade!
Needless to say, this cake was a challenge, but I loved it. I mixed purples that makes me happy… so now purple can stay for a while. 😉

I can’t specifically say why, but this was one of my favourites cakes that I’ve ever made. It was for a little girl’s first birthday and hopefully one day I will be able to recreate this cake for a similar occasion. 🌸

We might be in the midsts of winter… but this cake made me excited for spring already! 🌸

Fun fact: with this specific type of cake I have to do a specific style/type of florals as the angle of the cake and the placement of the florals won’t allow me to do my “usual” flowers. I love them though!!
