Tea Pound Loaf
Ingredients
1 cup flour (all purpose or cake)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter (113g)
2 eggs
2 bags of early grey tea
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt

Note : If you don’t have early grey tea you can use any good quality flavoured tea.

Instructions
1. In a large bowl add butter and sugar then mix until light and fluffy.

2. Add vanilla then mix in one egg at a time.

3. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Open the tea bags then add the dry tea to the flour mixture.

4. Mix just to combine the wet and dry ingredients together.

5. Transfer the batter (mixture) into a prepared loaf pan .

6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 Degrees Celsius for 35 minutes or until well baked .

*Eggs and butter should be at room temperature.

Heba’s Treats Recipe

Soft ginger biscuits
Ingredients
1 & 3/4 cups plain flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp ginger powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt

*Butter and egg should be at room temperature.

Instructions
1. In a large bowl add flour, ginger powder, cinnamon powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt then whisk .

2. In another large bowl add brown sugar and butter then mix until the mixture is creamy. Then add the egg and mix .

3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix just to combine .

4. Use an ice cream scoop or a spoon to scoop out the dough. Roll into smooth balls .

4 . Place the dough balls in a prepared baking tray. Slightly flatten each dough ball with your palm .

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 Degrees Celsius for 15 minutes or until well baked.

Chocolate Cake Dessert
Ingredients
1 cup flour (all purpose or cake)
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
1. In a large bowl add vegetable oil and sugar . Mix well .

2. Add vanilla and mix in the egg. Then add milk and mix again.

3. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt , baking powder.
Mix gently until the wet and dry ingredients are well combined.

4. Pour the batter ( mixture) in a greased casserole dish.

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 Degrees Celsius for 30 minutes or until well baked.

OPTIONAL
When the cake is hot straight from the oven poke it using a fork then pour the homemade chocolate sauce .

Serve with ice cream or yoghurt or custard.
