A few weeks ago, I underwent surgery and will be home with limited movement until 2026. During this time, my incredible mom has been by my side - caring for me and helping me through recovery.

In the middle of long chats and cups of tea, an idea was born: why not turn our family’s love for baking into something that could help us along this journey? And so, Poenie se Plaaslike Plesiertjies was created.

Rooted in recipes lovingly passed down through generations, every loaf, cake, and treat we make carries a piece of our family’s tradition. That’s why our motto is:

“Baking Tradition into Every Bite.”
