There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about a beautifully simple cake — soft, creamy, generously iced and finished with nature’s own little treasures.

This fresh and rustic coffee cake is a celebration of spring and the abundance of the season, decorated with juicy grapes, citrus, star fruit, golden berries, delicate meringues and edible flowers. Saturday night was a beautiful reminder that food, music and hospitality have the power to bring people together in the most meaningful way.

Vinteage Lounge Bakery had the privilege of creating some of the bread for the soup table, accompanied by a selection of handcrafted desserts:
• Blueberry panna cottas
• Passion fruit panna cottas
• Bite-sized pistachio cheesecakes
• Naartjie cupcakes topped with raspberry buttercream

Together with the incredible team at By Liz - Boutique Dining, who treated guests to elegant starter plates and comforting curried carrot and ham & pea soups, every course celebrated flavour, warmth and connection.

The evening was made even more memorable by the beautiful piano performance of Liza Joubert, whose music created the perfect soundtrack for an intimate gathering of friends and strangers alike.

It wasn’t just a dinner.
It was a celebration of craftsmanship, collaboration and community.
