Client X is running a small fine chrome processing operation and needed a cost effective solution for sludge dewatering. The sludge was conditioned with polymer and the high flow geotextile was selected as the suitable geotextile for this application.

ZebraTube dewatering bags are designed for the dewatering of most types of slurries .We recently tested the dewatering of seaweed slurry at our lab and the results received were positive.

Due to the fine nature of the solids ,we selected the Zebratex geotextile which is suitable for the dewatering of fine to ultrafine slurries without the need to add flocculant.

Flocculant is used to increase the size of particles in a slurry as well as to promote agglomeration of the particles. Although its uses has many benefits ,it also increases the operational costs of the project in terms of procuring of the chemical and the dosing equipment.
