Hello friends 😍
Sorry for the radio silence, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve last posted…
Had the wonderful privilege of celebrating my birthday at The Hart on Friday, with amazing food and vibe 🥂 Incredibly thankful and blessed with another year!
Some of you may already know that I injured my back in December and that has been a catalyst of change for me… The Lord knows I need more than a small still voice 😆
I’ve been in the food industry for 22 years and anyone who knows, can attest to how much standing, bending over, late nights and stress it entails and this is no longer conducive for me.
I’ve had a wonderful time creating cakes and bakes for the last 13 years but a change is good and I felt the pull in January to put down the oven gloves for this next season.
I’ve since started on a journey of selling my parents hoards of collectables, vintage treasures and curios. They have a house FULL OF STUFF! I’m truly enjoying the change of scenery and routine and I'm learning a great deal about circa dates 😝 If you’re curious take a peak at Adelex Collectables
I’ve also been doing the PR and admin for my hubby’s band for the past 2 years. They are trying to break through this crazy digital music scene with real songs, written by real humans, played on real instruments. Tough task hey 😜
I book gigs, make posters and promo material, submit music to radio stations, book rehearsal times, get merch printed etc. They recently started filming their next music video so it’s super exciting. If you’re still curious take a lookie at The Stremes
All that to say, that this is an indefinite pause in my baking journey. Please know that this change was not an easy decision but after much reflection it feels like the right transition.
Thank you to my wonderful and loyal clients for the many orders and support over all these years, it’s been great to bake for your families and your kiddos. This page isn’t going anywhere, food and cakes is all I know, so I’ll keep it focused on that 🍰🍝
Life has a strange way of unfolding so I'm sure our paths will cross down the line again. Enjoy this glorious autumn weather.
