Green and Gold Oils was founded in late 2011, by myself, Nigel Herd. I simply wanted to create a company that can give back to the environment by reducing Carbon emissions through the production of Bio-Diesel.I had spent a fair amount of time working for the Cooking Oil industry and had noticed that there was an awful lot of waste oil available from restaurants and fast food chains. My research into the waste oil industry was quite overwhelming and I soon realized that there was a huge problem with unlawful waste practices. Waste oil is sold to animal feed producers, pet food manufacturers, and even resold into Urban areas where there is huge amounts of poverty. I have therefore set a goal to educate all cooking oil consumers on how they are able to improve their own environment with healthy waste management practices. Cutting Carbon emissions through the production of Bio-Diesel is one way of giving back to the planet. Hopefully one day the entire world will realize this and start to contribute to.........the Local Global Solution!
