Got baking instructions direct from the birthday boy himself for his birthday cake. To have a baker in the family has its benefits 😁
He was 6 turning 7....which became the theme for the 67 party. 😂
"Ouma ek soek n lang Valilla koek nie n ronde een" and then he shows me the rectangular shape cake and size he wants. Love how he still say Valilla instead of Vanilla.
Vanillla cupcakes for school on his birthday 26 Aug. Vanilla, 2 layer cake with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting for the party on Saturday. Edible print in 67 theme.

When a little one, at such a young age, already care about animal conservation, and then request animal themed cupcakes to share with her classmates. This is the way it should be, educate them on looking after nature and all it includes. Well done to the parents, you doing something right. 🤗

Sometimes I tend to forget the 'Lekkerrrr' part of my Koek'n'Lekker brand name. Everything is not always about cake, every now and then it's all about the lekkerrrrr of warm winter comfort foods.

Just a few photos of what else is going in behind the scenes when people order some things other then sweet treats 😋

Rusks - Hand cut I have to say, no grid backing pans, I'm going 'old school' made with love.
Bran with raisins (very popular), Bran, Anniseed buttermilk, buttermilk... BEST to have with your early morning coffee, or in between snack 😋

Thick, full of fresh vegetables and plenty of meat soup
Vegetables soup
Butternut soup with fresh cream
All soups packed in 1 liter ziplock bags, flat frozen for easy storage in the freezer.
Perfect for those cold rainy winter evenings 🥶
And then the all time spoils with Melktert, Malva pudding and Apple pie....I mean that's the basic staple desert to go perfectly with the other comfort treats 😋
