There are certain smells that instantly make a house feel like home.

For me, freshly baked banana bread is one of them.

It's the kind of bake that doesn't need icing, decorations, or anything fancy. Just simple ingredients, a trusted recipe, and a little patience while it fills the kitchen with that unmistakable aroma.

I've been baking for many years, and banana bread remains one of those comforting favourites that never goes out of style. Perfect with a cup of coffee, shared with family around the table, or simply enjoyed while it's still slightly warm from the oven.

This loaf came out beautifully golden on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside.

Sometimes the simplest bakes are still the very best.

Welcome to Crumb Studio.

I’m Diane, and baking has always been one of the ways I show love, care, and hospitality. I’m so excited to finally start sharing that with the Blouberg and Melkbosstrand community.

My first post has to be about cookies because they are one of my favourite things to make. Simple, homemade, comforting, and perfect to share.
