On the 27/04/2026 I started my very first sourdough starter. It took over 2 weeks to get an active starter to make bread with.
I’ve been experimenting and learning all month long and will still learn and try to perfect this art.
Creating delicious sourdough loaves,
Discard pancakes, waffles, and crackers.
Different bread with inclusions of biltong powder and cheese, jalapeño and cheese, seed mix and so much more.
Creating a chocolate starter and making the most delicious brownies.
This has been the most incredible journey and I hope to share some of this with you all.

After quite a few months we are baking again. In full swing.

So it’s been a very busy and overwhelming week. Big order for my daughter’s school for teacher appreciation day. Normal buckets with mixed butter cookies and crunchies and ginger biscuits.
While trying to get all this done my daughter has not been well and it’s been hard.
We just keep on going and hopefully it all works out at the end of the day.

Today is my oldest babies 13th birthday so she had to take cup cakes to school one last time for her birthday.
