Seed and Nut bars😁
Homemade some-what healthy bars🌈
What you need:
Baking tray:
Grease with coconut oil. Add baking paper. Grease baking paper. Have another paper greased ready to put over the bars.
If you don't have all ready roasted nuts then you must roast them first. I also used salted nuts so I didn't need to add salt.
Method:
Add all that healthy stuff into a mixing bowl (I didn't measure, but it's sorta 2 cups all together)
Bars contain whatever nuts I had at home, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, raisins, oats, goji berries, and some dark choc chips (coz why not).
In a saucepan bring to boil (126 deg)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup golden syprup
Once it reaches the temperature then add vanilla essence and a pinch of salt (I added orange essence)
Remove from heat and pour over the dry ingredients. Work fast! Fold quickly and then transfer to a lined baking tray.
Smash it evenly, you must work fast because it hardens quick. Add the greased paper on top. Use a glass bottom to even it out. I however used my hands to form a rectangle and smash everything tightly(it was easier).
Keep it at room temp to cool down a bit for 20min. After 20min, slice it using a sharp chef knife.
I rubbed coconut oil on each individual one so it's not too sticky. Store in an airtight container, either in fridge or cupboard.
