The cleverly thought out name (thanks mom:) ) not only hints to the fact that they are twins, it also refers to their shared believe that their cakes should not only look amazing, but should also taste incredible. They have always baked whenever the occasion presented itself. One of their most memorable creations was the cake they baked for their brother’s wedding. It is still one of their favouri

tes. They still use the same carrot and chocolate cake recipes they have been using since primary school. The chocolate cake is always a crowd pleaser, and especially popular with kiddies parties. The carrot cake always surprises with its great taste. In recent years, biscuits, a spectacularly tasty cheese cake, blue velvet cake and several others lovely recipes and flavours have been added to the baking repertoire. This hobby turned side- business was officially “established” in 2012. This was the year they were finishing their studies and starting their careers. The responsibility of repaying their student loans led them to bake on order from their dorm room for colleagues and friends. The only oven available back then was the old cast-iron braaipan their parents had given them in their first year. In this mini make-shift oven, an order for 30 cupcakes was baked 6 cupcakes at a time, and wedding cakes were baked piece by piece. After 9 years and more than 3500 orders, their business have gone from strenght to strength. They have been blessed to have their client base increased 50 fold, mainly due to the wonderful word-of-mouth marketing skills of their amazing customers.
