The last post I shared using a dummy cake to show how expensive custom cakes can be received mixed reactions. Some felt I hadn’t included everything while others mentioned that location plays a big role in pricing.
So I decided to do another post using a real cake I previously made and this time I’ve included everything I used and needed for the cake. The total cost came to R956 if l add water it can simply go to R1000 that is excluding my labour and profit.
I honestly wouldn’t sell this cake for anything less than R1 600. Of course prices do vary by area but in my area this is the most affordable I could get the ingredients.
I hope customers can understand just how expensive it is to make a custom cake there is no such thing as a “simple” cake
