Koekies en Beskuit soos jou Ouma dit gemaak het 🤍

Min dinge is so lekker soos ’n lekker stukkie beskuit saam met jou oggendkoffie.
Ons ou Boerenasie het ’n lang geskiedenis wanneer dit by beskuite kom. Biltong en beskuit is ’n onlosmaaklike deel van ons kultuur.

Karringmelk bly my gunsteling, die ongesonde spierwit een. Maar ek sal glad nie nee sê vir sy meer polities korrekte nefie met die growwigheid en al daai heerlike sade in nie.

Beskuit kom van die Franse woord biscuit de guerre, 'n harde, haas oneetbare brood van meel en water wat vir soldate gegee is.
Suid-Afrikaanse beskuit verskil aansienlik van die oorspronklike Nederlandse beschuit in beide vorm en smaak en daar is tans in Suid-Afrika 'n wye verskeidenheid soorte beskuit beskikbaar.
