Starting at a new markets this Saturday! We’ll be at the Castle Hill Farmers Market every 2nd & 4th Saturdays of the month. I love seeing new faces and having people try our treats for the first time. Come and say hi this Saturday!

When you need to cheer your big brother up so you post a box of slices & cookies to Perth. Why did he need cheering up? It’s his birthday today…thought this would make him feel a bit younger 😂 Happy Birthday Big Brother 🥰

Also cookies baked in Sydney at 9am Tuesday & delivered to Perth by Wednesday 2pm 🤯 absolutely love doing nationwide delivery now!

Slight change of plans for tomorrow! I have to take these little guys to a specialist appointment tomorrow. So instead of 10-2 the kitchen will be open 12-4. See you tomorrow!!

Still confirming a couple of these but here are the dates for June!! Our kitchen will be open every Wednesday from 10-2 as a trial. Hoping to be making that permanent, plus adding in some extra Saturday markets and Sunday shopping centres!

So I have a confession…when I said “let’s see if we can beat last Saturday” I didn’t think it would actually happen!!! I would’ve been over the moon equaling what happened last week, but no, that wasn’t good enough for everyone today. Not only did we beat last Saturday, we beat it by selling an additional 80 pieces 🤯🤯🤯

Thank you Narellan! And apologies to Luddenham tomorrow. I’ll still be there but won’t have quite as much as I expected to have!

Realising now that this little business of mine is 2 years in and going pretty good I should probably introduce myself and explain how this all started!

So hi!

My name’s Jacqui. I’m a professional photographer turned baker. For as long as I can remember I’ve loved baking. I can still remember Mum lifting me up onto the kitchen bench to help her make jam drop cookies or trifle when I was little.

The career switch. In 2022 I lost my Dad. In 2024 I lost my Mum. My life changed so completely. Photographing weddings with father/daughter dances and mother/daughter photos was too much, so I decided to take a break. What else did I enjoy doing though when being a photographer was all I’d wanted to do since Year 8 at school.

…baking. I started baking more and more, and kept getting told to try selling my treats. That first set up at Warriewood Square was just meant to be a little fun and see what happened. I could never have guessed what would happen though.

A year later I quit the full time job I’d been at for nearly 12 years and went all in! I’ve made mistakes and will still make more, I’m still learning so much all the time.

I’ve said this on a few posts but the support I’ve received has blown me away! I can’t put into words what this business has done for me. I’m so, so grateful.

Thank you all for helping The Slice Dessert Bar get to its 2nd Birthday. I’m excited to see where it goes from here and I hope to meet you at an event soon!!

Tomorrow The Slice Dessert Bar turns 2!!

How it’s been 2 years since I started this little business is absolutely insane, but here we are! Two years of madness, oven burns, delicious food, stress, but mostly doing what I love!

2 years has only been possible because of all of you! So thank you so so much for all of the support, whether it’s been liking a post, saying a kind word, buying some goodies or telling everyone you know about them!

So why am I posting today if the big day is tomorrow? I’m opening up the kitchen tomorrow!! Wednesday & Thursday between 10-2 the kitchen will be open to come in and buy your treats. Come and say hi and help us celebrate this little milestone 🥳

So something just happened that hasn’t happened since my very first day of selling. I had to run back to the kitchen and bake some more! 🤯

Apparently my Facebook post on a community page reached pretty much everyone in Narellan/Camden and today was insane!!

I’m pacing in my kitchen at the moment waiting for the last lot of cookies to come out of the oven. I’m so tired, sore and hungry, but so crazily thankful. This business has had its ups and downs so far with many more to come, but nearly 2 years on and I’m still loving it so much 🥰🥰🥰

Wow Thirlmere. Yesterday was nuts! I had people halfway through the day asking me if I have enough for today, and honestly I don’t think so. The first day of the Festival of Steam is meant to be by far quieter and yet it was still my biggest selling day ever. I am so so grateful and hope everyone enjoyed their day out and the treats!

If you are after desserts today, please get in quick!! A couple of the other stallholders are betting on when I’ll sell out by since there isn’t a crazy amount for today 😂

It’s also World Baking Day so just in case you needed an excuse…you’re welcome 😜

Thirlmere isn’t the only location today either! We’re also back at the Newcastle Farmers Market, but same thing, get in quick!!!
