It’s been a busy and demanding few years, but I think I’ve reached a season where I have the ability and time to pour into new ideas with all the creative energy that’s roaming around in my head. 😝

Just dropped these antique/old book succulent planters off at The Pit Stop YV
Who doesn’t love a good book? And also a cute little configuration of succulents, that you can’t kill!
I kind of have an obsession with old books 🤷🏻‍♀️ My sweet granddaughter asked me the other day, what my favorite color was 🤔 hmmm, my favorite color is old book colors…🤣
I love my succulents too! I have lots of live ones, indoor and outdoor, but also I greatly appreciate the “no fuss” kind! This old book succulent planter also comes with a wooden stand I made! Making it easy and convenient for displaying right where you want it!

Using beautiful quotes from some of my favorite authors, I’ve started this little series of mixed media with pressed dried flowers, using old book covers! The flowers, the old books and the meaningful quotes make these so therapeutic to create. 🥹🌸💛 I hope you might find them inspiring and perhaps encouraging. Great reminders to keep our heads up.

Big changes are blooming at Desert Owl Studios! 🦉✨

I have been creating and selling handmade decor, gifts, signs, and more in the desert for over twenty years now. I started with small tables at craft fairs and have grown with this community’s support each year. Now, some of you may know me from my annual Christmas open house or the well-loved annual art fair in Joshua Tree on Prescott!
