🎉We are excited to announce Dedrick Williams as our August 2026 Outstanding Employee of the Month!🎉

Dedrick was born and raised in Breaux Bridge and currently resides in Opelousas. He has been married for more than 25 years, and together he and his wife have three children. Around the workplace, many of his co-workers know him by the nicknames "D” or “Super D.” He has been with ABC for 28 years. He was hired as a Route Helper and, after a few months, was promoted to a Route B Driver. In 2014, he obtained his Class A CDL with ABC and was promoted to a MiniBulk-A Driver. In June 2023, he was promoted to Assistant Delivery Supervisor, his current position. He says what he enjoys most about working at ABC is that we are family-owned and operated. When asked to share advice with new employees joining the team, he said, “Sometimes you gotta’ take the L; you can’t always win. You gotta’ know when to tap in for the team.”

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, whether watching sports, or traveling to see comedy shows and concerts! When asked about his bucket list, he shared that he would love to travel to Hawaii for a vacation, but he doesn’t want to plan it - he just wants to go! He mentioned their favorite vacation destination is Universal Studios, as they have visited four times. His favorite food is smothered cabbage - can someone say soul food!? He enjoys attending sporting events in person and cheering on his favorite teams: the New Orleans Saints and the Houston Rockets.

🎉We are excited to announce Jason Derouselle as our July 2026 Outstanding Employee of the Month!🎉

Jason was born and raised in Lafayette, where he still resides today. His pride and joy is his family. Growing up, he was the oldest of three children. Today, he and his wife, Detra, have been together for 38 years and have been happily married since 2011. When asked about his wife, he smiled and said she is the most beautiful person, inside and out. He describes himself as family-oriented and is proud to be part of a large, close-knit family. He and Detra have two children and 10 great-grandchildren. Jason is also a proud graduate of Holy Rosary Institute of Lafayette and spoke highly of his Catholic upbringing. After graduating from high school, he served five years in the U.S. Army before entering the workforce and eventually joining ABC. Jason, thank you for your service!

This September, he will celebrate 25 years with ABC! He joined the company in 2001 as a Pallet Builder in the Loading Department, where he worked for his first two years. He was then promoted to his current role as a Forklift Operator, a position he has held ever since. When asked what he enjoys most about his job, he quickly pointed to his team and his supervisor. He says that, at the end of the day, everyone works together as a team. He also credits his supervisor, Jill, for helping him grow throughout his career at ABC. According to Jason, Jill has always had his back and is a great leader because she works with her team, not against them. When asked what advice he would give to new employees, he kept it simple: come to work prepared to do your job, do your best every day, and put your best foot forward. If he had to describe himself in one word, it would be capable. Around the workplace, he is known as, "Big J." One of the things he appreciates most about working at ABC is the trust he has earned over the years. He enjoys the freedom to do his job independently, and he believes that trust is everything.

Outside of work, you can find him relaxing at home or cruising on one of his three bicycles—two cruisers and one stretch cruiser. Riding is one of his favorite hobbies. When asked who had had the greatest impact on his life, he didn't hesitate to give all the credit to his parents. He says they raised him to be the man he is today and considers them his best friends. To describe the values they instilled in him, he shared this quote: "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And weak men create hard times." If he ever had to sing karaoke, his go-to song would be "We Both Deserve Each Other's Love" by L.T.D., a romantic ballad. When it comes to ABC’s product lineup, his favorite is Pepsi—the OG. His taste in music includes old-school Blues, Jazz, and Gospel. Looking back on his childhood, he says some of his favorite memories are spending time outdoors, whether it was playing ball at the park, riding bicycles, or simply hanging out with friends in the neighborhood.
