Happy National Italian Heritage Month! Today we wanted to educate on Italian American Immigration and share some fun facts about New York City's Little Italy:
Little Italy was and still is the home to Italian immigrants who started arriving in the 1880s.
They first moved to the area between Canal street and Houston street, but currently reside in the blocks surrounding Mulberry Street.
Most of the population came from Naples and Sicily.
