Pane Bianco. It’s easy to describe the flavor: cheesy, garlicky, herby, with pops of flavor from the sun-dried tomato. It’s hard to describe how delicious this smells as it bakes and tastes in that first bite. It’s memorable to say the least! My kids are in love! Ha! I love trying recipes that are different and unique. This was a good one. Let me tell you about the Tuscan Fruit Bread recipe I found and made for you this week. It’s a yeasted dough with pecans, dried cranberries, and apricots mixed in the dough, then covered with a “glaze” before baking. I made it for the family first, and, wow! A piece of this with a little butter and honey was amazing. It’s not too sweet; has a little crunch. It’s unique and delicious! I know you’ll like it! Stop by the SpringHouse for a loaf!

I know I’m a little late in sharing this, but I have to show you these beautiful crescent rolls. We made them for for their menu last last weekend. Yes, they were buttery, soft, and perfect for dipping, but what made these special for me is where my recipe came from. You all know that several recipes we bake and share with you and your family come from our family. They are shared so that you can sit around a table and make memories just as we have. These crescent rolls are my aunt Debbie’s. She would make them for Christmas at the farm. It was chaotic, loud, hot, yet full of laughter and love. Sometimes it would be full of music too. I loved bread just as much then as I do now, and I probably ate more than my fair share of these if I could get away with it. Well, there’s my memory. That’s what I truly love about food…it’s the serving others something they share together and make memories over. I hope, whether you eat what we bake at the Springhouse, or if you place a a custom order with us for your family meal, you feel served, loved, and make memories!
