Our ordering platform crashed yesterday.
Our delivery platform crashed this morning.
At this point, there’s nothing left to hold us back next week. It will be the best batch yet.
Just a few loaves left for Friday’s delivery.

I never travel without my starter, she goes where I go.
For this trip, I left her twin at home for a little experiment! I fed it an 80 to 1 ratio, with the intention that the starter would have enough “food” to be ready in time to make bread when I return on Tuesday. So I set up a camera, and now we are watching a live feed of sourdough from the beach.
The plan was a slow, steady climb over several days with a peak somewhere around day four or five. That is not what is happening. It is moving almost twice as fast as we expected, and we are already surprised by the activity.
Five days. Will it peak early and crash? Will it hold? Stay tuned…Science is happening!

We’re back!!
Orders open this Saturday, May 24 at 9am!!
We also made a change we feel really good about. We heard the concerns about checkout fees, and honestly it never sat right with us either. So we’ve absorbed the Hotplate fees. There’s a price increase, but now what you see is what you pay. We get it, this is New Jersey, and that’s how it should be with groceries.
This drop is a smaller, limited batch, so don’t sleep on it. Fresh, light, and fluffy sourdough, available for delivery or pickup on Sunday, May 31. After next week our drop/bake schedule will return to normal.

Running a small bakery is not just something I do. It is something my whole family does.

My son gave up half of his play area so we could build our bakery. My wife took on more than her share around the house without being asked. There are nights I am up late and mornings I am up before the sun, and I know it is not easy for them.

Amanda and I wake up every day proud of what we have built together, and someday we hope our son will be too.
