Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for your kind messages, texts, and emails. I’m sorry for being out of touch, but I think of you and your warm thoughts often.

These days, life has been filled with the usual tasks of cooking, cleaning, and taking care of my son. There are moments when I’ve felt overwhelmed and simply let myself rest, which is why I haven’t been able to reply sooner.

I’m happy to share that my son is thriving here. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful education and support system his school provides. They include social-emotional learning in every grade, which has been such a blessing.

He’s also enjoying choir and orchestra, where he’s learning to play the cello. Can you believe they offer free orchestra classes and rent high-quality instruments for just $5 a year? The taxes are high here, but the resources make it worthwhile! ❤️

On another note, I’m excited to share some happy news: we’ve sold our house in Wytheville! I hope the new owners will love it as much as we did. 😍

I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our amazing realtor, Mr. Mitch Anders. ❤️ I’ve had bad experiences with realtors in the past, so I never imagined I’d be raving about one!

We left Wytheville on short notice, just three days before the move, and unfortunately, the town faced its worst hurricane, blizzard, and freezing temperatures while we were away. I had no idea until Mr. Anders stepped in.

He checked on the house, took care of the water service for inspections, and handled everything we didn’t even think to ask. His initiative and dedication went above and beyond. He turned what could have been an incredibly stressful experience into peace of mind. 🙏😍❤️

If you ever need a realtor, I can’t recommend Mr. Mitch Anders enough. He’s not only an outstanding professional but also a genuinely kind person. I wish him all the success he deserves! ❣️

I am deeply grateful for your patience, support, and understanding during this time. Many of you have asked about my last day, and I needed to ensure my equipment and appliances found good homes first. I’m happy to say that they now have places to go. 😍

Châu’s Corner Bakery will be open for business until Friday, July 19.

* Peanut Sauce: $6 for a 16 oz to-go cup. I’m taking orders until Thursday for Saturday pick-up. Please let me know if you would like to get some.

* Chili Oil: $12 per 16 oz container. Taking orders until Thursday for Saturday pick-up

* Pickled Veggies in Fish Sauce: Turnip, green papaya, and carrots - $8 per 16 oz to-go container. Taking orders until Thursday for Saturday pick-up

* Rice Paper Wrap: 12 oz (22 cm size) - $4 each or 6 for $20.

* Hoisin Sauce: 5 lb can - $10 each or 3 for $25. If you buy 2 boxes (12 cans), I'll show you how to make BBQ pork, which can be substituted with any type of meat (like venison 😍.)

* Beef Meatballs: 4.5 lbs bag - $38

* Wonton Egg Noodles: 5 lbs bag - $15

* To-Go Containers: 6.25” x 6.25” x 3.125”, 500 count - $27 each. Great for churches, parties, and similar events.

* 32 oz Microwavable Translucent Plastic Deli Containers with Lids: 24 cups and 24 lids for $10

Dear All,

I have been procrastinating on writing this post, but time is running out and I must announce that Châu’s Corner Bakery will be closing in mid-July. I will provide the exact date as it approaches, as I begin working on selling the inventory and equipment.

The bakery has given me the opportunity to meet and get to know many wonderful people. I sincerely thank each and every one of you who has come to my corner. You have been the most amazing customers I could have ever asked for.

Thank you very much for making my job so enjoyable over these past five and a half years. I found happiness in a career I had always dreamed of as I grew into adulthood.

After a few years of adjusting to life away from a major city, I have felt very blessed and fortunate to be in this wonderful town with its beautiful scenery, pleasant weather, and wonderful people. Most importantly, my son received exceptional care because of the dedicated teachers and paraprofessionals who loved him.

Unfortunately, this school year has been a nightmare for us. Everything went downhill when the School Board chose to protect an incompetent person who acted like an arrogant dictator, ruining the elementary school and creating a toxic environment.

This situation drove many great and caring people to leave their jobs in search of peace of mind elsewhere. Moreover, qualified individuals could not get the job because the hiring system is rigged. Our children deserve better!

It’s truly unfair. I feel defeated, hopeless, and exhausted by everything that has happened because those in authority chose to ignore or cover up the issues instead of addressing them properly.

I understand why others have left, and now I must do the same.

It is incredibly hard to part with everything we have built and cherished here; the memories and sentiments are irreplaceable. However, my son’s education and well-being are my top priorities, so I hope you all understand my decision.

The space will be available for rent. In the coming weeks, please excuse my posts as they may advertise the sale of the inventory.

If you know anyone interested in renting Suite 102, please refer them to me. I deeply appreciate your help!
