Well everyone, this has been a long overdue post and my apologies. There have necessarily been many decisions and changes to make, and it is time to officially announce Village Bakery has closed its doors for good. I can’t begin to say how much I’ve appreciated the following and support all of you have given me- I truly could not have done it without you! I feel I’m letting you down by not being able to continue and I do apologize. It was a wonderful thing while it lasted and I will always cherish the friendships made along the way.

Perhaps there will the possibility of a cookbook or other side projects down the road. Who knows? In the meantime, if you’re ever shopping at Batavia Home Depot I hope to see you there.

God has truly blessed me and carried me along this journey and I’m so thankful to Him for everyone He’s brought across my path! Blessings!🙏

Hello, dear community. This evening Scott went home to be with his Creator and Saviour to live eternally in Glory and peace. As a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, and friend, he will be dearly missed. Scott's testimony will live on all around us, even his final organ gifts to help others in need. That is just who he was. Thank you, Jesus, for the years we had together.

A must listen! This was one of my grandmother's favorite songs and Scott and I sung it at her memorial service about 25 years ago. We've experienced it over and over in our lives, and now more than ever. I pray we are able to sing it again some day!🙏🙏🙏

They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade (or lemon poppy seed muffins😉). Well, life has given us a basket full and they'll be hanging around long enough we'll need to freeze dry them so they don't spoil. Because of my husband suffering an emergency medical situation requiring my full attention, I am needing to take extended time away from my bakery. It may be brief or it may be long-term, but I appreciate your patience and will certainly update when I'll be returning to business. I deeply appreciate all your support of my little bakery, and the friends I've made along the way.
