Tonight’s post is a bittersweet one for me - I’ve been looking forward to these two particular orders on my calendar for months and months.

6 dozen for a Grosse Ile grad
15 dozen for the Grosse Ile Pet & Garden Center

What I didn’t know when I looked ahead to this weekend on the calendar is that it would be my last custom order for a while 🥹 A job opportunity arose that was too good to pass up, so I’m going to take a step back from baking to focus on family and my new adventure in HR.

This might mean holiday pop-ups or special sales going forward, but for the time being I’m halting all orders.

So stay tuned and we’ll see how this goes! Thank you all for being amazing these last ten-ish years! Whatever lies ahead, I’ll always remember the love and support you’ve given me along the way ☺️

In addition to graduations, it’s also time to celebrate the end of a sport season! I topped off this weekend with:

⛳️ A varsity golf banquet cake

🥍 A varsity lacrosse banquet cake, drop cookies, gluten free sugar cookie bars, and personalized jersey sugar cookies for the team and coaches

⚽️ Soccer balls for the sweetest little soccer players

What this means to me is that summer is almost here! School is out in two days for my crew and we can’t wait! ☀️

I love how this set up turned out for a Grosse Pointe South grad party this weekend!

4 dozen sugar cookies
2 dozen lemon cupcakes
2 dozen mini chocolate cupcakes
2 dozen chocolate chip cookies
2 dozen oatmeal raisin cookies
2 dozen snickerdoodle cookies

And of course I can’t neglect what’s come to be my favorite grad celebration every year - the Teddy Bear Daycare graduation! 🐻

🏐 Something a little different as an end of the season treat for Sadie’s spring volleyball team! A full chocolate chip cookie cake pre-cut with a piece for each player and their coach.

🥍 And I was able to provide some goodies for Andy’s lacrosse team dinner last week - chocolate chip cookie bars and gluten-free sugar cookie bars, both decorated with buttercream

⚽️ Next up for team treats are jerseys (I think) for Gordie’s soccer team!

🐰🥕Hippity-Hoppity, Easter’s on its way!🥕🐰

In addition to my Easter set, I made some cookies for my kids to decorate too. So naturally I stole a few of those to practice a design I’ve been wanting to try. It’s the bunnies with the rosettes and I can’t wait to use the rosettes on an order for one of you!

Hope everyone who celebrates Easter has a great day tomorrow! And really, same sentiment goes for anyone who doesn’t celebrate tomorrow too 🤪

My soon-to-be 9 year old son drew me a rendering of what he wanted his Minecraft cake to look like for his family party. Even though I’ve been told it isn’t *exactly* like his picture 😝, he still loved it.

Whole pie (8 cookies) - $24

Whole pie with extra cookie in the middle (9 cookies) - $27 (designs/wording will vary on the extra cookie - your choice of leaf, turkey, or plaque-style) Writing can be “Thankful,” “Grateful,” or even your family name - The Smith family, for example.

By the slice - $3

❤️🤍And what better way for your Elf to return to your home than with him (or her) delivering a treat to remind those kiddos to be sweet throughout the season! I loved creating this cookie set! The mother of the groom wanted two sets of cookies - one for the bride to enjoy with her bridal party and one for the groom to enjoy with his crew. She sent a picture of their invite, told me the colors and I got to take it from there.

My two bigger kids (14 year old boy and 13 year old girl) have taken an interest in improving their baking skills which of course I love! Andy has perfected the cookie cake (minus the decorating) and Sadie is knocking cake decorating out of the park!

And my little guy (8) insisted on decorating my birthday cake - I love seeing his sweet handwriting in frosting ❤️

What an incredible time we had at the Baker Barn today! Thanks to everyone who shopped, stopped to say kind words about my work, and supported small business today simply by liking/sharing/commenting online or being at the barn!

I brought more with me than I did last time which resulted in a few leftovers. Let me know if you’re interested in purchasing any of the following:

Cookie cake slices - $5 (Halloween themed are made with vanilla buttercream and I have a few pieces made with chocolate buttercream left too that aren’t decorated for Halloween)
