I made a cake today! The ask was just for purple and absolutely NO pink. Stuffed with candy (didn’t get a pic of the mini m&ms inside). It was SO hard not to add even a little bit of pink. I kept feeling like it needed that pop of brightness. But in the end it came together (with the help of one extra small batch of frosting at the end) to make an oooo-worthy cake for the birthday girl! Sprinkled of course with some glitter to top it all off in the end. I hate that the glitter never comes through in pics but you can sorta see it on the big swirls. They each got an actual brush of glitter vs my usual fairy dusting on the top.

I really like how it all came together (though I still would love some pink in there, myself 😘).

Been a minute huh?! Just a quick pop in to share my kiddo’s rainbow accented birthday cake. Felt good to bake and create again. It was fun mixing colors and getting to do rainbow again. Rainbows and unicorns are literally my favorite to make so obviously I was psyched when he picked this cake theme. And he decided on the little “surprise” inside the cake 😆 Definitely not my choice but when you’re the birthday boy, you get to choose whatever you want!!

Oh and the last photo is the scraping/discard/piping tester bowl - it was too pretty to just wash and get rid of! 🥰

Treat boxes for local business due tomorrow (and a few more headed out the door for Christmas Eve treats!)! Tomorrow morning they’ll get their Eggnog cupcakes decorated with a festive little green wreath on top! (Hence the 2 empty spots) Love seeing all the pieces I’ve been slowly working on all put together 🤩 PS - that shine on the pretzels is edible glitter and quickly became my favorite piece of this box! So cute and also super yummy 😋

I keep getting the nudge to come back to cakes! I know that coming back would mean that many of you will be sad that I can’t create for you anymore since we moved out of state. Please know how grateful I am to my community of Massachusetts cake lovers…. All the amazing support I received right away when I embarked on this journey last spring. I hope you know how much I loved baking for you and how much I loved seeing your faces when you received your cake! I had the BEST time reconnecting wiry old friends and creating for your littles while also meeting new faces in the area! You all mean the world to me and I hope you’ll stick around and enjoy what comes next but I understand if you decide to leave my page.

As I had posted earlier this year, our family had been planning to move to Vermont and we did it!! Woohoo! 🥳 I am now in Barnard, Vermont - right outside of Woodstock - and so very happy to be home again. My heart has wanted to be here for a while and I’m grateful we were able to make this happen!

Local Vermont friends, stay tuned as I decide what I want to create for this amazing slice of the world. The choices will be much tighter this time around and hopefully an actual menu will be born. I will likely start making cocoa bombs in the near future again too 😊 (just for the holiday season!)

Hey friends & followers! First of all, I owe you guys a HUGE thank you for following my page, following my work and investing in my cakes these past 10 months. (I can't believe it's been that long!)

There are a lot of changes happening over here this year. I'm working on building out a coaching business for female entrepreneurs and we are also hoping to move to Vermont this summer!!

I've found over time that the part I love the MOST about creating cakes is the decorating but oddly that's the part that requires the least amount of time for me. The baking and making of frosting just takes so long that I'm honestly a little burnt out right now.

It has been the absolute HONOR OF MY LIFE to be a special part of your family celebrations this year... a reason for kiddos to smile on their big day when they can't celebrate with all the people they normally celebrate with.

I need to add up everything I've baked these past 10 months but I know that I've used over 100 LBC labels so at least 100 boxes of goodies have gone out the door!! WOWZA! What a feat. You guys are AMAZING!

I have loved baking because it gave me a chance and an excuse to get off my butt and stand for hours on end. It gave me a chance to use my creative brain again which felt so nice. And of course, it gave me a chance to be a part of "events" in such a special and unique way.

But for now I really need to focus on bringing my other work to life so I am going to have to "close up shop" for a while.

It's not to say I won't still bake and post my creations here! This whole page started as a place to use as a "portfolio" of sorts - to just share what I've made.

I'm not sure if I'll continue to bake for money or just bake for family but cakes are definitely not going away completely. I have all the stuff now, after all! :) I just need a break for a while as it's just not as enjoyable to me anymore.

NOTE that any cakes that are already on my calendar will stay there!! I'm not canceling anything existing. ;-*

Another little went out the door yesterday!! Slightly different than last time. I was definitely nervous to use this piping tip (it’s huge and so not what I’m used to) and truthfully I started it, went around twice and then scraped it off because I didn’t like how it was coming out but I like the end result! And better yet, Amy liked it and that’s alllll that matters at the end of the day!! Happy birthday Amy!

Today’s cake!! Strawberry frosting is still and I think forever will be my favorite. I hardly ever eat frosting but this stuff is sooo freaking good!!
