For those who know me personally, you know that community and family mean everything to me — and family isn’t always defined by blood. Sometimes it’s the people who show up, work hard, give generously, and become part of your life in every way that matters.
Today, I’m asking for support for one of those families.
Jen and her husband, Donald, are facing an unimaginable battle after Donald was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of thyroid cancer. The medical expenses, travel for treatment, lost time from work, and everyday burdens are adding up quickly.
If you’ve ever purchased from Pahl's Hogs and Goats, Pahl's Farm at the Baltimore farmers markets or through Market Wagon Greater Baltimore / DC Area, visited Farm Chicks Corner Market years ago, or had Weston Pest Service help with bees or pests, then you already know this vibrant, hardworking, generous, and loving family.
And for those who support my business — chances are, you’ve already supported theirs too. That bacon in the quiche you purchased from us? Yep — Pahls Hogs and Goats. The zucchini bread you swoon over every summer? Or the Not Your Granny’s Pumpkin Pie that graced your Thanksgiving table? That’s Pahls Farm produce. Specialty Italian natural colored egg Easter bread? Yep, them too. Their farm and products have been part of my kitchen and my business for years.
Please consider donating to their GoFundMe, (in the first comment) sharing this post, or simply keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of support truly matters right now.
Thank you for helping a family that has always been there for others. ❤️
